نبذة

The Macro Fiscal Unit (MFU) has been established in 2015 to be an “internal think tank” that monitors ongoing developments and provides forward looking analysis and policy advice. The MFU helps in achieving the sustainability of adopted fiscal policies, taken into consideration oil price developments and associated performance of the hydrocarbon sector. In addition to ensure the effective contribution of fiscal policies and measures to the overarching national objectives of having a stable, growing and diversified economy.

The Medium-Term Fiscal Framework (MTFF) and The Medium-Term Fiscal Monitor Report.

The Medium-term fiscal monitor report aims to examine the fiscal implications of medium-term challenges and provides projections for the government`s expenditure and revenue up to 5 years ahead. The report serves as a comprehensive analysis of the fiscal landscape over the medium term, offering insights into the expected trends and patterns in government spending and revenue generation. By projecting the government`s expenditure and revenue, policymakers and stakeholders can gain a better understanding of the fiscal outlook and make informed decisions regarding fiscal policy, resource allocation, and economic planning.
