Government Services Pricing (Pricing)

The Ministry of Finance has undertaken a project to periodically review government service fees using a unified approach to pricing services. This approach takes into account the financial, economic, and social impacts when determining fees.
The Ministry collaborates with relevant authorities to strike a balance between fiscal policy and the goals outlined in Oman Vision 2040, which emphasize empowering the private sector and attracting foreign investment.

Supply chain financing

Supply Chain Financing is a government project managed by the Ministry of Finance (MOF) designed for financing the payment of Government contractors and suppliers that have payment vouchers, worth no less than RO 100 thousand on a monthly basis, through one of the local financing institutions. The MOF would cover the total financing amount and will pay part of the agreed interest, while the contractors and suppliers will pay the remaining part of the interest by deducting from the funds they receive

Performance-Based Budgeting

The State`s General Budget is a crucial tool for achieving social and economic objectives. The Ministry of Finance (MOF), representing the Government of the Sultanate of Oman, is committed to enhancing public expenditure efficiency and achieving sustainable development goals in line with Oman Vision 2040. The MOF aims to develop a public financial management system by transitioning from item budgeting to Performance-Based Budgeting (PBB). PBB aims to translate public policy and objectives into actionable programs in the budget and link the goals of Oman Vision 2040, Five-Year Development Plans, and Government units` goals with programs and activities. Moreover, the PBB will help Government entities manage financial allocations more effectively.

National Assets Register (NAR) is an integrated central system that takes full account of government assets and helps to draft a strategy to ensure a centralized management of the assets, as well as to maximize their efficiency and returns. This can be achieved through the optimal use of such assets in a way that generate more financial resources for the State budget.
